It's the only place where longer, more thought out writing is appropriate (social media-wise). I gave up worrying about perfection years ago. Get the thoughts down and hit post. You'll find mistakes later. So what? And sure, Facebook ...I feel the same way, Rebecca. And sure, Facebook allows longer "thoughts", but it's still not the same as putting paragraphs together in a coherent manner.

I'm working on another blog post right now, actually. (That's not a promise it will be *finished* today. It takes me for.ev.er. to write. Stupid perfectionism.)

I'm glad you're not leaving FB. It's a great thing! If I were more self-disciplined, I wouldn't be leaving it myself!

And, thanks! I had a nice birthday lunch in town with some friends--other homeschool moms who happened to be volunteering in the camp kitchen last week! I enjoy them. And one of my biggest regrets about the social media world is how it puts me into a mode where I only have Twitter-length thoughts. It's like I forget how to put together a paragraph much less a longer train of thought.

I won't be leaving FB, but thank you for the reminder to keep it where it belongs. Happy (belated) Birthday!Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09448208268646425266noreply@blogger.com
